Client Brief
Alan Baskerville-Mansell runs a business converting cars to run on LPG - or autogas. LPG is cheaper than Petrol and better for the environment, but people still need convincing and there is a general lack of understanding about LPG in nth marketplace. Alan needed a website that would explain to people what LPG is, how it works, the benefits and cost savings possible and how to contact Alan for a quote or to get your vehicles booked in for an LPG conversion.
Alan also wanted to be able to edit the site himself, and to be able to upload photographs and a journal of his work.
We needed to design a website from scratch, using Alan's preferred colours and we needed to write the content ourselves. with three website's to manage, we also needed to provide a content management system that would let Alan edit and manage all three website's with little training.
Our Solution
We started as always by looking at the competition and what they do before moving on to spec out the website. We then designed the website using a mix of green and yellow as the colour theme, and wrote the copy with both the search engines and the potential audience in mind.
For website editing we provided and installed Adobe Contribute, with onsite training and the training DVD videos. we edited the website to ensure that it was compatible with Contribute, and ran a few tests ourselves before handing the website over to the client to host on their servers.
